Standard grant conditions
- The grant is made to you for the purposes outlined in our offer letter and in your correspondence with the programme manager who dealt with the application.
- You must not use the grant for any other purpose without the written consent of an authorised member of the Foundation’s staff.
- You must claim the grant within six months of this offer. Unclaimed grants expire after this period. Any other arrangement must be agreed in writing with an authorised member of the Foundation’s staff.
- Any unspent balance of the grant must be returned to the Northern Rock Foundation when the project to which it relates is completed or the time allowed for expenditure expires.
- You must acknowledge Northern Rock Foundation in all publicity relating to the grant or to the project to which it relates or any adverts for positions funded by the Foundation unless we have agreed otherwise. You must use one of these acknowledgements:
- ‘Assisted by a grant from Northern Rock Foundation’
- ‘Funded by a grant from Northern Rock Foundation’
- You may use Northern Rock Foundation’s logo if appropriate. The Foundation grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to you to use its logo in connection with the stated purpose or publicity arising from the grant. Our Logo Guide sets out how you must use our logo.
- You must always refer to us in literature as ‘Northern Rock Foundation’ (written in full).
- We require you to report to us on the use of the grant within one year of receiving it or at any other period agreed with your programme manager. We will send report forms with these conditions and at suitable intervals thereafter.
- You must submit copies of your Annual Reports and audited accounts showing the Foundation’s grant in the audited accounts section in any year in which you have received or used Foundation funds.
- Any additional or special conditions contained within the offer letter also form a part of the grant conditions under which this grant is paid.
- The issuing of a grant does not imply any responsibility on the part of the Foundation, its Trustees or any of its staff for the health and safety or conduct of employees, clients or members of the public connected with the receiving organisation. By accepting these conditions you agree to indemnify and keep indemnified the Foundation from and against any and all claims, damages, losses and expenses which you incur or sustain as a result of the use of the grant for the stated purpose.
