General information about our facilities
- Our rooms are available Monday to Friday for meetings that run between 9.30am and 4.00pm. Rooms are laid out in formal style and are therefore best suited to ordinary meetings or seminar-style sessions. They are less suitable for ‘participatory’ training or events. You may book one or more of the rooms listed above; so a break-out discussion can be accommodated.
- We supply tea, coffee, milk, sugar and water. We do not provide lunch, but if you want to cater for your event, we can recommend a number of suppliers. Lunch and refreshments must be taken in the meeting room booked.
- We allow use of our audio visual facilities and provide a flipchart stand and pens. We ask you to bring your own flipchart paper, and to remove it after the meeting. It is not permitted to stick anything to the meeting room walls. We cannot provide photocopying facilities.
- The Foundation’s building is fully accessible via a platform lift; accessible toilets are available on the ground and first floors. If you require more details about access, please contact us.
- We do not have parking for those attending meetings, but there is a public car park next to our building, and the area is well served by public transport. For more information, see www.nr-foundation.org.uk/about_findUs.html
- Whilst we welcome visitors to our building, we ask that you respect that it is a working, open-plan office. We ask those using our rooms to keep noise to a minimum by avoiding congregating or making mobile phone calls in our communal areas.
Criteria for booking meeting rooms
Organisations that we have funded (those currently receiving grants, and those who have had a grant in the past) can book rooms free of charge.
- We will consider booking rooms for regular meetings (e.g. for organisations’ committees), but no more than one year in advance.
- The Foundation’s own meetings must always take first priority, and we will not normally take more than one external booking a week.
Responsibilities of user groups
- Organisations must have a named individual who will be the contact with the Foundation. They will:
- go over requirements with us beforehand;
- provide us with a list of attendees in advance;
- greet attendees and escort them to the room;
- meet Foundation staff before other attendees arrive, and again after they have left to ensure the rooms are properly vacated.
- The Foundation’s health and safety procedures must be respected and followed – a member of our staff will go over these when you make a booking.
- Rooms must be left as you found them. Any left-over food and any materials for recycling must be placed in the appropriate bins in the Foundation’s kitchen area.
- Any breakages, loss or damage may be charged to you at cost.
