Overview

  • 166 grant applications were successful and £7.4 million was awarded.
  • 57 grants were made for a term of three years, 30 for two years and 76 for one year or under. Three grants were made for a term of four years.
  • 61% of the number of grants were to organisations that had previously held a Foundation grant.
  • The Foundation dealt with 429 completed grant applications during the year.
  • 53% of eligible applications were successful.
  • The Foundation rejected 148 eligible applications and 114 applications were ineligible for funding or were withdrawn by the applicant. One grant application was converted to a loan.
  • By the end of December 2011, the Foundation was managing new or ongoing grants totalling £28.5 million.
