Penny Vowles – Programme Manager
Penny manages the Changing Lives programme which helps people who lack self-confidence or motivation, or who face discrimination, to have the individual support they need to lead a more positive and fulfilling life.
Penny joined the Foundation in 2001, initially managing its Basics programme. Following a secondment as investment team manager at Futurebuilders in 2004, she returned to the Foundation in 2005 to take over responsibility for its culture programmes. Before joining the Foundation, Penny was a founder member of Prism Arts, Cumbria’s arts and disability agency. Prior to that she trained and worked as a teacher.
