In this study we will select third sector organisations across the North East and Cumbria to provide a representative group (by, for example: longevity, size, funding, objective, beneficiaries, organisational form, location) for more detailed study.
We will use in-depth interviews, observation, focus groups, policy analysis, and literature analysis to get a clear understanding of the factors which affect organisational success. A central part of this analysis will be to assess the strength and duration of networks within the sector and how these influence and benefit its development.
