Brightpurpose – Leading Through Change (March & April 2012)
In 2012 the Foundation has funded Brightpurpose to deliver their Leading Through Change programme. The sector has experienced profound change in the last couple of years, with more on the horizon. Voluntary and community organisations will need to transform themselves so they can thrive in a fundamentally changed landscape – they will need to reshape and prepare for new ways of working.
Change is difficult to cope with at the best of times, but during such a turbulent period it can be hard to remain focused. At the very time when you need all your wits about you so you can lead your organisation’s transformation, you’re also having to deal with the stress and psychological challenge of coping with change yourself.
This half day workshop is designed to give leaders and managers the skills and confidence to lead their organisations through a difficult period of change, and emerge stronger for the future.
The key topics covered during the workshop are:
- Psychological reactions to change and how to navigate these
- Preparing people for change
- Communicating change effectively
- Understanding and managing your own reactions to change – maintaining resilience
The first series of workshops were for invited Foundation grantholders. Cumbria CVS will deliver the workshop again in the future, for further information please contact Alison Phillips at alisonp@cumbriacvs.org.uk. For organisations in Tyne and Wear, Brightpurpose will deliver the workshop with Pentagon Partnership at their Business Plus event on 18th April, for further information please contact Jon Goodwin at jon.goodwin@voda.org.uk.
