Adding Value to Your Research
In November 2012 the Foundation, in partnership with the University of Bristol, published ‘Adding Value to Grant-making: Northern Rock Foundation’s Research/Project Approach’ and a toolkit, designed primarily with Trusts and Foundation’s in mind, to help them to get the most value and impact from their research and their resulting grant-making.
The project improved our understanding of how we make our research work harder to maximise its impact on project development, policy and practice through focused planning for commissioning, governance and knowledge translation.
In early 2013 we re-designed the guide and developed an online workbook. The workbook is not only for those working in the grant-making sector but for anyone who is commissioning research and hoping to reach a wide audience.
The workbook is easy to use, directly type in your thoughts and responses to each question and save to your own computer. Please make sure that you read the guide before or while you are completing each section of the workbook.
