In March 2014, Foundation Trustees approved grants totalling £853,476 to help tackle disadvantage in the North East and Cumbria. Equal Arts, based in Gateshead, was awarded a grant of £75,959 to develop a network that shares best practice between artists and professionals working with people with dementia and to increase its geographical reach into Cumbria.
