Joining the Dots Conference 3rd & 4th December 2012
The North East Dementia Alliance is running two events to build on the success of the report ‘Knowing the Foundation of Dementia Friendly Communities for the North East‘ in Newcastle and Middlesbrough and will include workshops and presentations by speakers including:
- Alastair Balls (Northern Rock Foundation and Alzheimer’s Society)
- Ian Sherriff (Plymouth University)
- Philly Hare (Joseph Rowntree Foundation)
- Carol Clifford (South West Dementia Friendly Community Steering Group)
The events will take place at the Trinity Centre in Middlesbrough on 3rd December and the Tyne Suite, Premier Inn, Newcastle on 4th December. Each event will run from 9am until 1:30pm. We would like to invite individuals from the different parts of our communities in the North East including:
- individuals living with dementia and their carers
- voluntary groups
- the emergency services
- housing associations
- community safety groups
- professionals working in the fields of health and social care, leisure, library services and education.
