Northern Rock Foundation is Caring for Carers in Cumbria
TWO Cumbrian companies can carry on caring thanks to grants from Northern Rock Foundation.
As part of its latest round of grant handouts, the Foundation has awarded more than £120,000 to carer support organisations Eden Carers and Cumbria Crossroads.
Northern Rock Foundation – Sector Training
The Foundation has commissioned CAADA, Women’s Aid and Respect to deliver courses in Newcastle in 2011/12. The Foundation will fully fund the cost of each course on the understanding that if learners do not complete the course their organisation will have to re-pay the full cost.

Homeless Youngsters Supported
A SCHEME to save homeless teenagers from a life on the streets has been given a kick-start thanks to cash donated by the Northern Rock Foundation. The Foundation, which is an independent charity aiming to help disadvantaged people in the North East and Cumbria, has awarded £106,366 to Barnardos Crash Pad project part of its Supported Lodgings scheme.
