Two major studies chart the strengths and the vulnerabilities of the voluntary sector in the North East and Cumbria and point to the actions organisations will need to consider in order to respond to change whilst facing additional demand and managing an uncertain financial future.

The Northern Rock Foundation is rooted in the North East and Cumbria and has always funded vital work helping those communities most in need to tackle the problems we know they face everyday. In its latest grants round the Foundation has made 23 awards totalling £2 million.
