Young and old alike in Barrow-In-Furness, will benefit from grants totalling £235,243 as part of the latest grants awards from the Northern Rock Foundation. Drop Zone Café which works with young people in the town has secured support of £76,500 over three years.
Blackwell Sailing which provides people with learning disabilities from across Cumbria with the opportunity to go sailing on Windermere, has received a grant of £46,000 from the Northern Rock Foundation. Last year the Charity were able to provide176 people with sailing sessions during the season which runs between April and October.
Charities in Darlington, working with homeless and vulnerable people have received a major boost of over £380,000 in the latest round of grants from the Northern Rock Foundation.
